Tramín červený in Czech, it is also known abroad by the names Gewürztraminer or Savagnin Blanc. It is a white grape variety, with a specific spicy nose that recalls the scent of roses and ginger. It has a full-bodied aroma and a delicate,
pleasant bitter taste. The acidity isn’t too marked. Traminer wines have greater residual sugar content – they are often semi-sweet or sweet and they are a great accompaniment to foie gras, pâtés, desserts or blue cheeses.
