Trains connect Prague to most of Europe’s major cities. Traveling by train can sometimes be long, but it is usually entertaining, offers gorgeous views and fares are very affordable. If you travel a long distance you will most probably travel on the EX or EC express trains, which make few stops, or on the fast and comfortable but more expensive SC Pendolino train. The biggest train station in
Prague is the Viennese Secession Main train Station (Hlavni nadrazi), in the city center. Another station for international connections is the Holesovice station (Nadrazi Holesovice). Both stations are easily accessible by subway, which stations bear the same name as the train stations. You can find information about connections on www.idos.cz or at the information offices in the stations.
