Tuzemák
Tuzemák, formerly called Czech Rum, is a highly aromatic, vanilla-scented beverage, similar to the Austrian Stroh Rum. It is quite nice when poured in a cup of hot water: the combination is then called a Grog and is very welcome
for its heating effect in the cold winter months. Tuzemák is used in the preparation of various pastries, raisins are marinated in it, etc. Every Czech household always keeps a bottle of this drink in the kitchen.
