In Prague he is mainly renowned for his monument to Master Jan Hus, which became the new radical dominant feature of the historic Old Town Square. The inventive monument full of symbolic
elements caused passionate discussions among experts and amateurs at the time. Today it is an inherent part of the Old Town Square and also one of its symbols. Saloun’s statues on the Prague City Hall on Marianske Square are very popular. Rabbi Löw as well as the headless knight are a reminder of Prague’s long history full of legends and mystery.
