Hradčany
Hradčany is a district in Prague, a significant part of it is taken by the Prague Castle, the largest castle complex in the world.
Hradčany developed as the castle outer bailey, but it must be said that in contrast with its older neighbours, the Old Town and the Lesser Town, settling happened very unsystematically.
In the 14th century, in virtue of a decision made by the Highest Burgrave Office in Prague, the Hradčany became the serfdom town. Today the Hradčany is a favorite tourist destination with many important monuments (Archbishop Palace, Gazebo of Queen Anna, Schwarzenberg Palace, Etc.).
