A great crucifix stands in the church of Saint George at Hradčany. Princess Agnes, the daughter of King Premyslid Ottokar II., would kneel in front of the cross to pray for her father and his victorious return when he went to war. One day the body of Christ suddenly began to shed bloody tears one of which fell
upon the princess’ hand. At once the princess was besotted with a sacred premonition and feared for the life of her father. The premonition turned out to be true because it was on that very day the drop of blood touched the hand of the princess that the king lost his life in the Battle on the Moravian field.
