The Jagellon
The Jagellon was a ruling dynasty that originated in Lithuania. They ruled in Poland, Bohemia and Hungary.
Despite being from Lithuania, they got their name from Vladislav Jagell (1351 to 1434), who took the Polish throne as first.The Jagellon played a role in the wheel of fortune of European politics only for about two-hundred years,
nevertheless very strongly. It controlled the Polish royal crown, and it acquired the Bohemian and Hungarian royal crowns through Vladislav Jagellonský.
The dynasty of the Bohemian-Hungarian branch died off in 1526 when Ludvík Jagellonský died, the Polish-Lithuanian branch died off in 1572 as Sigismund August the Second passed away.
