The official currency in the Czech Republic is the “Czech crown” (Kč, CZK). A crown is composed of 100 halers, but these are not used anymore. The end price is hence rounded off to the crown. The coins in use are 1 CZK, 2 CZK, 5 CZK, 10 CZK, 20 CZK, and 50 CZK, banknotes are 50 CZK,,
100 CZK,, 200 CZK,, 500 CZK, 1000 CZK, 2000 CZK and 5000 CZK.
It is sometimes possible to pay in euros in some places (the euro should become the official currency sometime after 2010). We however recommend that you exchange your money in banks or foreign exchange offices.
