This may come as a surprise, but U Jelínků is an old and still functioning Prague beer hall with all the bells and whistles. Tourists rarely wander in these parts so it may be a good place to try out some phrases from our dictionary. Excellent fresh Pilsner lager and the figures of local
guests make for an inseparable combination. It is said that the beer hall was owned by the Jelínek family, as is implied by the restaurant’s name. The communists confiscated the pub, but allowed them to continue working in it. After the revolution, they were given the pub back.
