His supreme piece of work, created in cooperation with the Architect Antonin Balsank, was the Municipal House, which combined Neo-Baroque tradition and Secession innovation. Most
of Polivka’s other constructions were also typical for their eclectic basis, which loosely combined Renaissance and Baroque elements with the new motives of the Secession style.
