Antonín Wiehl
Similar to many other contemporaries, his work was also strongly influenced by the classical Italian Renaissance. At the height of the National Revival (at the end of the 19th century), he began combining elements of the
Czech Renaissance into his architectural style using characteristic richly adorned coats-of-arms and sgraffito. He often worked with the well-known Czech painter Mikoláš Aleš on the façades of many houses in Prague.
