Antonin Balsanek
In his architectural work he combined admiration for historic structures, primarily in Renaissance and Baroque style, with principles of the emerging Viennese Secession style. His greatest works in Prague are among others the representative
Municipal House (built together with Osvald Polivka) and the Legion Bridge (Most Legii). He engaged in urban design (regulation plan of the Lesser Quarter and the Hradcany District), and studied the theory and the history of architecture.
