Anselmo Lurago
He was born in Italy in the town Como, but in 1727 he acquired burgess-ship in the Lesser Quarter of Prague. Together with Kilian Ignatius Dientzenhofer, he was one of the leading representatives of the typical Prague Baroque and Rococo styles.
He contributed to the construction of numerous palaces and sacred buildings in Prague. Among his greatest works we should mention the completion of the St Nicholas Church in the Lesser Quarter and the Kinsky Palace on the Old Town Square.
