Mailelova Street
Today's Maiselova Street was designed during the renovation of the old Jewish Town by connecting several older standalone streets. The street is named after a provost of the Jewish Town named Mordechai Maisel (1528 - 1601).
The synagogue of the same name is located on the street as well. During World War II under Nazi occupation, the street was renamed Fillip de Monte Street, a Dutch musician working at the court of Emperor Rudolf the Second.
