Thun-Hohenstein Palace
A pair of heraldic eagles around the portal dominates the facade. The eagles, symbolizing the Kolovrat family, original owners, are the work of Prague born Baroque sculptor Matyáš Bernard Braun. The palace situated in place of four
burgher houses was built by architect Jan Blažej Santini-Aichl for Count Kolovrat between 1720 and 1725. In the 19th century, under the ownership of the Thun-Hohenstein family, the interior was rebuilt in a Neo-Renaissance style.
