Morzin Palace
*The Baroque Morzin Palace at Nerudova Street was built by architect Jan Blažej Santini-Aichl between 1713 and 1714. The sculpture decoration of the facade, one of the most beautiful in Prague, is the work of Ferdinand Maxmilián Brokof. The attic gable is decorated with an allegory
of Day and Night. The Brokof's style, with its monumental peace, is mainly represented by a pair of Moors, symbol of the Morzin family, they hold the balcony on their shoulders. Inhabitants of Prague passing by never forget to touch the gigantic toes of these Moors for good luck.
