Fairgrounds
At the end of the 19th century, national-revival reached its peak in order to obtain the independence of the Czech nation. One opportunity to show the success of the industry and the economy was the Jubilee Municipal Exhibition of 1891 – its full name was: The Prague General Municipal Exhibition of 1891 For The Celebration Of The Jubilee
Of The First Industrial Exhibition Of 1791 (this exhibition even ranked first in Europe and was held in the Klementinum being part of the celebrations of the coronation of Leopold the Second as Czech King). The exhibition was organized by, and presented exclusively Czech companies because the German firms based in Bohemia boycotted it.
