Botanical Garden
The Botanical Garden of the Charles University School of Science in Prague covers 3.5 hectares. The exhibitions are in both the greenhouse section and outdoor section. The greenhouses feature permanent exhibitions of tropics and dry subtropics (collection of cactuses and succulents). Plants from wet subtropics are under an open sky during the summer season arranged according to their place of origin,
going back into the greenhouses in winter. There is also a large collection of old specimens of cycads, camellias, myrtles and other plants. Outdoor, there is a famous unique specimen of a ginkgo tree, whose age has been estimated to be approximately 130 years. The most valuable part is the exhibition of Central European flora founded in 1904 and continuously maintained for now over 100 years.
