Valdštejn Riding Hall
Part of the extensive area of the Valdštejn Palace,The large riding hall was built by architect Niccolo Sebregondi. The construction was completed in 1630 and it was used for training horse riders and horses. In 1854, a Riding Carousel of Czech Aristocrats was held here on the occasion of the visit of Emperor Franz Joseph
the First. In the beginning of the 20th century, automobiles replaced horses under the roof of the riding hall. The car company Laurin & Klement used to operate a repair shop here. Since the end of the fifties, after a complex reconstruction, the premises have been used by the National Gallery in Prague for exhibitions.
