Originally a Romanesque church hidden in the labyrinth of the Old Town streets, it was in the 14th century reconstructed as a triple-nave hall in Gothic style. At the end of the 18th century, the church underwent radical Baroque reconstruction,
which gave it today's appearance. The Baroque portal ending with a typical forked fronton is decorated with a sculpture by Ignác František Platzer. Today the church is unused and its future is the subject of strong disagreement.
