Mánes Bridge
The bridge is named after a renowned painter of the 19th century Josef Mánes. It was built between 1911 and 1916 with the participation of architects Pavel Janák and Vlastmil Hofman. The bridge is located
in place of an old ferry system that connected a fishermen village. However, a more direct predecessor of today's bridge was a suspended iron footbridge, which connected the Old Town with Klárov from 1869.
